Stories of successful hikes and epic failures
Dear GregThat's very sad news indeed. I'm so sorry that your father has passed away. Lovely photo of your parents.Sending you kind thoughts. GN
Hey GN. Thanks for your kind words. Even though he was elderly, it's still a bit of a shock, as he was a pretty hardy sort of bloke and seemed indestructible at times! I was going to write something longer, but that can wait. I might revisit this in a few months when I have time to think about it all. His life as a POW in WW2 is worthy of a post in itself!Anyway, thanks for dropping by.
Thoughts with you and yours Greg.Darren.

Thank you Hendrik. I appreciate you dropped by and your comment. Times are a bit tough right now, but the blog is a nice distraction.
Thinking of you, Greg. I still miss my dad every single day. We'd love to hear your father's story when you feel able.Take careJulie"If the relationship of father to son could be reduced to biology, the whole earth would blaze with the glory of fathers and sons." (James Baldwin)
Thanks for taking the time to comment Julie, it's much appreciated. There's no getting around it is there? Death of parents is something we all have to face and I can't give any advice about how to make it any easier... Nice quote :)
Hi Greg, haven't been following my blogs for a few weeks and just came across this post. So sorry to hear mate, hope you are doing ok. Cheers.
Hey there. Thanks mate! Yes, things are slowly coming back together again and I've managed to put in a few walks which helps clear the mind a bit. Thanks for your condolences.
