    That's very sad news indeed. I'm so sorry that your father has passed away. Lovely photo of your parents.

    1. Hey GN. Thanks for your kind words. Even though he was elderly, it's still a bit of a shock, as he was a pretty hardy sort of bloke and seemed indestructible at times! I was going to write something longer, but that can wait. I might revisit this in a few months when I have time to think about it all. His life as a POW in WW2 is worthy of a post in itself!
